The Obama administration is set to reopen a crossing station at the Texas and Mexico border that was closed after the September 11 terrorist attack for security concerns, yet is newly constructed to be monitored by Border agents stationed hundreds of miles away.

Federal officials estimate the Boquillas crossing located in the Big Bend National Park will accommodate 20,000 visitors a year, whose entry into the U.S. will by monitored by Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officers 300 miles away in El Paso through surveillance cameras that will observe kiosks where identification cards are scanned for access.

“Remote technology would assist CBP in maintaining security and verifying the identity of those entering the United States, while also ensuring that they possess proper documentation to do so,” said the Federal Register notice announcing the project.

The former mayor of a Mexican town -- who survived two earlier assassination attempts-- was found in a ditch, beaten to death. The body of 36-year-old Maria Santos Gorrostieta was found three days after her family reported her missing, according to a BBC report.

It just never ends with the Cartels. Men, women, and children are never safe with these savages, whose egos override any sense of decency or humanity. What a shame...

Is Demography Destiny?

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Written by Thomas Sowell Tuesday, 20 November 2012 01:29

Some media pundits see in the growing proportion of non-white groups in the population a growing opposition to the Republican Party that will sooner or later make it virtually impossible for Republicans to win presidential elections or even to control either house of Congress. But is demography destiny?

Conventional wisdom in the Republican establishment is that what the GOP needs to do, in order to win black votes or Hispanic votes, is to craft policies specifically targeting these groups. In other words, Republicans need to become more like Democrats.

Whether in a racial context or in other contexts, the supposed need for Republicans to become more like Democrats has long been a recurring theme of the moderate Republican establishment, going back more than half a century.

On Sunday, former Hispanic outreach director to the Romney campaign, Carlos Gutierrez, appeared on CNN's "State of the Union" and criticized not only the former Massachusetts governor, but the Republican Party's conservative base, as well for Obama's re-election.

Specifically, conservatives' belief that our border should be protected and that immigration laws should actually be enforced.

The suspects, 24-year-old Abdul Cortes-Reyes and 31-year-old Ignacio Cienfuego-Varela were pulled over by Pima County Sheriff's deputies because of a traffic violation.

Deputies said they could smell marijuana coming from inside the sport utility vehicle the men were driving and could see several bundles they thought were marijuana.

Karl Rove—Poster Boy for National Suicide

Written by Virginia Abernethy - vdare.com Friday, 16 November 2012 02:37

Karl Rove is a principal architect of the GOP's 30-year advocacy for mass immigration. Karl Rove can also be seen as the principal architect of the GOP's November 2012 disaster—because the large Hispanic vote turned around and bit him.

Rove, who has lived in Texas since 1981, was apparently impressed by the quality of post-Castro Cuban immigration. He must have failed to notice that the professional class was fleeing Castro, so the Cubans he met were not precisely representative of Cuba’s general population.

Unfortunately, Rove's enthusiasm for more and more immigration was welcomed by U.S. businesses who saw, cynically, that they could profit from a policy that depresses wages. They have been the main funders of Rove’s gargantuan PACs.

Three key Senate Republican players on immigration returned to a lame-duck session of Congress on Tuesday offering optimism that a deal on immigration could be made next year.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said he believes it’s “very likely” the Senate will come up with a comprehensive immigration bill that could include enforcement and a way of dealing with illegal immigrants in the country.

The first amnesty was a disaster, the next will finish us off

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Written by examiner.com Monday, 12 November 2012 04:14

The day after President Obama was re-elected, key figures in both the Democrat and Republican Parties began talking about the need for so-called 'comprehensive immigration reform, otherwise known as amnesty for illegal aliens.

Even conservative talk show host Sean Hannity, was spewing the new talking points, saying:

"We've gotta get rid of the immigration issue altogether. It's simple for me to fix it. I think you control the border first, you create a pathway for those people that are here, you don't say you gotta home. And that is a position that I've evolved on. Because you know what--it just--it's gotta be resolved. The majority of people here--if some people have criminal records you can send' em home--but if people are here, law-abiding, participating, four years, their kids are born here... first secure the border, pathway to citizenship... then it's done. But you can't let the problem continue. It's gotta stop."

Of course, as is usually the case, people often fail to learn from the lessons of history...

House mouthpiece John Boehner won't repeal Obamacare, wants to pass amnesty.

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Written by AZBDNews Saturday, 10 November 2012 05:29

Just two days after America committed suicide by re-electing the worst President of all time, the RINO John Boehner (properly pronounced "Bo-ner") says he will not attempt to repeal Obamacare, and he will try to pass "comprehensive immigration reform", in other words amnesty for illegal aliens. There is just one problem here. Polls show a majority of Americans want Obamacare repealed and polls also show a majority of Americans want the border secured before there is any talk of amnesty. So what will Obama and Boner do? The exact opposite of what Americans want.

As our videos constantly prove; the border is no where close to being secured. But that's all part of the plan that guys like Obama and Boner have. Flood America with uneducated 3rd world "immigrants" who have no idea what America is about, nor care to learn. Then give the illegal "immigrants" the ability to vote so they can vote for what most uneducated 3rd world people vote for, Socialism. And the Republican party wonders why it can't win an election? It won't end in socialism. It will end with a global dictatorship as that is the ultimate goal.

America wasn't destroyed overnight, nor was it destroyed by just one party. It was a conspiracy by both major parties who really are run by the same people at the top. America didn't have a choice in this election. Romney would do the same things Obama will do, just in a slightly different way. Don't kid yourself and think a Massachusetts liberal who wrote the basis for Obamacare and has passed gun control in his state wasn't going to try to pass amnesty. At this point it is up to the American people to wake up and figure out what's going on and fight back. It's never too late if you will just wake up.

Facts do not support official story in Border Patrol agent's killing

On Wednesday, the Pima County Medical Examiner's office released the autopsy report for U.S. Border Patrol Agent Nicholas Ivie, who was killed last month near Naco, Arizona.

In the report, Pima County Forensic Pathologist Cynthia Porterfield stated that Ivie died from "a penetrating gunshot wound of the head," and that a "small caliber copper jacketed projectile" was recovered from his brain.

On October 2, Ivie, was killed and another agent was wounded in what the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) claims to have been a 'friendly-fire' incident.

KEPHART: Inviting criminals across the border

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Written by washingtontimes.com Tuesday, 06 November 2012 01:23

Come Jan. 2, 2013, 3,400 Border Patrol agents, 932 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) special agents, and 802 ICE deportation and removal officers are going to lose their jobs. Unless President Obama forces Congress to break the gridlock on budget decisions, the layoffs are certain. The United States can not afford this reduction. Illegal alien crossings more than doubled in September over August in the Arizona border area where agent Brian Terry was killed with a gun from the botched “Fast and Furious” gun-walking operation almost two years ago.

The administration’s focus is on what the president can do for illegal aliens, not on securing the border. The president’s “deferred action” amnesty has logged over 179,794 applications for processing and 4,591 approved as of Oct. 10. Not even the Oct. 2 fatal shooting of agent Nicholas Ivie five miles north of the Arizona border in Naco, whether by “friendly fire,” “faulty sensors” or cartel activity shifted the administration’s focus on amnesty. The president’s open border policies ignore the need for technology, infrastructure and enforcement policies to help secure America and better assure officer safety.

Espinoza, a member of the notoriously violent 18th Street gang, was convicted of first-degree murder in May.

Feds Let Mexican Cartel Hit Men Kill in U.S., Senior Lawman Told Stratfor

The U.S. government allowed Mexican drug cartel hit men working as “confidential informants” for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to murder people inside the United States, an American federal law enforcement supervisor told the private intelligence firm Stratfor in e-mails released by WikiLeaks. ICE neither confirmed nor denied the allegations when contacted by The New American.

The explosive leaked documents containing the claims were part of a massive batch of e-mails stolen by hackers from the Texas-based intelligence-gathering firm. Among other startling allegations, official sources in the Mexican and U.S. governments told the company that American special-operations forces were in Mexico under the guise of fighting the drug war.

Second joint Fast & Furious report cites ‘management failures’

A second installment of the joint report on Operation Fast and Furious asserting “widespread management failures” by senior Justice Department officials was released today despite a virtual government shutdown due to Hurricane Sandy.

That the report was released just over a week before the presidential election may have little bearing on the election outcome. The more recent scandal over Benghazi is being downplayed by everyone besides Fox News, adding even more credence to assertions that press bias in favor of the Obama administration is giving cover to the president.

YUMA, Ariz. — U.S. Border Patrol agents from Yuma Sector's Yuma Station foiled a smuggling attempt today when suspects trying to drive a vehicle over the border fence fell prey to their own devices.

Just after midnight this morning, agents patrolling in the Imperial Sand Dunes area encountered a silver Jeep Cherokee during an unsuccessful attempt to drive over the international boundary using a make-shift ramp not quite up to the task. When the vehicle made it to the top of the ramp, it became "high centered."

AZ Border Defenders trail cameras continue to catch video of illegal aliens, drug smugglers and now an armed drug smuggler 30 miles North of the border. This video shows two Drug Smugglers walking down an active drug and human smuggling trail. The first Drug Smuggler is carrying an AK-47 with him.

This video is proof the border is not secure and more dangerous than ever. Drug cartels practically own entire sections of the Arizona desert and have spotters on hills and mountains so they can alert their drug and human smugglers to any potential problems.

Radio woes put agents at risk on the border

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Written by azcentral.com Wednesday, 31 October 2012 01:24

Despite years of complaints from U.S. Border Patrol agents, the federal government has failed to eliminate radio “dead spots” where agents suddenly lose contact with each other.

That loss of communication can create a dangerous situation and most often occurs in remote mountainous areas similar to the area where Agent Nicholas Ivie was killed by friendly fire this month.

A source close to the investigation of the Oct. 2 shooting told The Arizona Republic that Ivie and two other agents lost radio contact immediately before they exchanged fire as they responded from separate directions to a tripped ground sensor in southeastern Arizona near the U.S.-Mexican border.
