Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday he wants the Gang of Eight’s immigration bill to proceed to the floor, despite requests from some conservatives to reject all procedural votes related to the bill.

“With regard to getting started on the bill — it’s my intention if there is a motion to proceed required, to vote for the motion to proceed so we can get on the bill and see if it we’re able to pass a bill that actually moves the ball in the right direction,” McConnell (R-Ky.) told reporters.

On Tuesday night, while the nation has its full attention on the heartbreaking images still coming out of Oklahoma, and the aftermath of yesterday's devastating tornado, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved the most far-reaching amnesty bill ever brought before Congress.

In a 13-5 vote, the committee passed the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act (S. 744), which not only offers legalization to the untold millions of illegal aliens currently inside the United States, but also greatly increases the number of highly skilled foreign workers to be admitted into the U.S. annually...Thus, further displacing American workers.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General published a new report Monday that confirms former U.S. Attorney for Arizona Dennis Burke leaked a document intended to smear Operation Fast and Furious scandal whistleblower John Dodson.

The DOJ IG said it found “Burke’s conduct in disclosing the Dodson memorandum to be inappropriate for a Department employee and wholly unbefitting a U.S. Attorney.”

Bill Gives DHS Sec. 'Virtually Unlimited Discretion to Waive Any Manner of Crimes,'

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Written by cnsnews.com Monday, 20 May 2013 04:14

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) entered a letter from law enforcement officials nationwide warning of the dangers of the immigration bill S.744 into the judiciary committee record today.

The letter To Congress from the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Council of the American Federation of Government Employees Affiliated with AFL-CIO warns of the discretionary power the bill gives to “political appointees” and takes away from law enforcers:

“Congress can and must take decisive steps to limit the discretion of political appointees and empower ICE and CBP to perform their respective missions and enforce the laws enacted by Congress. Rather than limiting the power of those political appointees within DHS, S. 744 provides them with nearly unlimited discretion, which will serve only to further cripple the law enforcement missions of these agencies.”

Buried in 844-Page Immigration Bill: Immediate U.S. Entry for Millions

Written by judicialwatch.org Monday, 20 May 2013 04:13

Buried deep in the colossal immigration bill that’s floating around Congress is an obscure little section that rewrites the current immigrant visa waiting list to allow millions to cut in front of the line via new categories of family-sponsored immigrants.

As if it weren’t bad enough that the measure, known as the Schumer-Rubio bill after the New York Democrat and Florida Republican pushing it, already offers 11 million illegal aliens instant amnesty. A nonpartisan group dedicated to researching legal and illegal immigration into the U.S., discovered the provision in the course of dissecting the monstrous legislation, which at last count spans 844 pages.

Immigration Bill Contains Slush Funds for Pro-Amnesty Groups

The pro-amnesty lobbyists who helped craft the Schumer-Rubio immigration bill included within the bill two "slush funds" amounting to $150 million that may be supplemented with additional taxpayer dollars for years to come. Slush fund grantees are "public or private, non-profit organizations" described in the bill as including "a community, faith-based, or other immigrant-serving organization whose staff has demonstrated qualifications, experience, and expertise in providing quality services to immigrants, refugees, persons granted asylum, or persons applying for such statuses." In other words, the grantees would include many of the groups involved in writing and promoting the amnesty.

ICE admits hundreds of illegal immigrants with criminal records released

Written by foxnews.com Friday, 17 May 2013 02:12

AZBD Note: McCain was one of the Senators this information was released to. McCain is also a member of the "Gang of 8 Treason Committers" who want to legalize most illegal aliens, including many who do have criminal records.

Hundreds of illegal immigrants with criminal records were released earlier this year as the Obama administration prepared for budget cuts, according to newly released data that challenged claims the program involved "low-risk" individuals.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement released the figures to two top senators, after a three-month delay and under the threat of congressional subpoenas.

Of the 2,226 detainees that were released in February, the department revealed, "622 have been identified as having some type of criminal conviction."

Shock video makes case for high-capacity magazines

A new video dramatization demonstrates in shocking, living color one reason gun-rights advocates resist bans on high-capacity magazines for firearms: Armed thugs don’t always attack alone.

The video by MB Studio Productions depicts a startling but believable scenario in which armed thieves target a house when the family is at home. The family calls 9-1-1 and the father quickly retrieves his pistol from a gun safe. But after fending off the first armed intruder, the father stands horrified after pulling the trigger on a gun now empty of bullets as the second intruder enters the home.

In 1990, President George H.W. Bush announced plans to create the NDIC in order to 'consolidate and coordinate all relevant drug intelligence information gathered by law enforcement agencies and analyze it to produce a more complete picture of drug trafficking organizations."

Border Patrol: Rules hinder effort to oust drug spotters

Written by washingtontimes.com Wednesday, 08 May 2013 02:02

The chief of the U.S. Border Patrol said Tuesday that his agents have a tough time ousting armed drug cartel spotters from the tops of U.S. mountains because the rules of engagement constrain them.

For years, cartels have stationed spotters on U.S. territory to help track American border efforts and to guide smugglers around roadblocks and past where agents are stationed. But in recent months, those spotters have gotten more attention as Congress prepares to debate an immigration legalization bill.

The Guns of Obamerica

Forget Wal-Mart and skip your local gun show. The murderers of tomorrow will not be found wearing orange vests at your local sporting goods store. They won't have NRA memberships or trophies on their walls.

You won't find them in America. Look for them in Obamerica.

67% of firearm murders took place in the country's 50 largest metro areas. The 62 cities in those metro areas have a firearm murder rate of 9.7, more than twice the national average. Among teenagers the firearm murder rate is 14.6 or almost three times the national average. Those numbers are from six years ago. They have grown worse since.

Study pegs cost of immigration bill’s mass legalization at $6.3 trillion

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Written by foxnews.com Tuesday, 07 May 2013 01:36

The comprehensive immigration overhaul being taken up in the Senate this week could cost taxpayers $6.3 trillion if 11 million illegal immigrants are granted legal status, according to a long-awaited estimate by the conservative Heritage Foundation.

The cost would arise from illegal immigrants tapping into the government's vast network of benefits and services, many of which are currently unavailable to them. This includes everything from standard benefits like Social Security and Medicare to dozens of welfare programs ranging from housing assistance to food stamps.

A suspected member of a violent street gang who has been arrested in Florida has been running a children's party business, authorities said.

Dilbert Coreas, from El Salvador, was arrested in Florida after he allegedly re-entered the U.S. following his deportation in 2012. He had been charged with cocaine possession in 2009.

Police from Palm Beach County's gang unit were tracking Coreas after seeing pictures of him on social media sites which suggested that he was linked to a transnational criminal organization known as the Mara Salvatrucha gang or MS-13.

On Wednesday, Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) joined nearly two thousand trade unionists, open communists, socialists, anarchists and illegal aliens at Chicago's May Day march and rally.

Two large rally demonstrations that began at Union Park and Chicago's Haymarket Riot monument converged into a giant march that shut down traffic for miles, and ended at Federal Plaza where they were joined by Senator Durbin.

Durbin made remarks to the red, yellow and black flag waving crowd about "immigration reform." Opening with "My fellow immigrants," Durbin told the crowd "this is a once in a lifetime chance" to get "immigration reform."

Proof of innocent intent in disposing of Tsarnaev’s “materials”? Just think: This guy was months away from being amnestized by Schumer/McCain/Rubio, and now he’s gone and thrown it all away.

Expect Lindsey Graham to be on TV within the hour arguing simultaneously that (1) no one should use this new revelation to politicize the new immigration bill and (2) this revelation proves that the new immigration bill is urgently needed.

A constellation of intellectual heavyweights showed up at the University of Southern California on Tuesday to discuss the issues surrounding immigration reform. That stars in that constellation included former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and former presidential candidate Senator John McCain (R-AZ). All three agreed that immediate immigration reform legislation should be passed, without substantial additions to border security.

The More Illegal Immigrants That Go On Food Stamps The More Money JP Morgan Makes

Recently uncovered documents prove that the Obama administration has been working with the Mexican government to increase the number of illegal immigrants on food stamps, and when more illegal immigrants go on food stamps JP Morgan makes more money.  As you will read about below, JP Morgan has made at least 560 million dollars processing Electronic Benefits Transfer cards.  Each month, JP Morgan makes between $.31 and $2.30 for every single person on food stamps (and that does not even include things like ATM fees, etc).  So JP Morgan has a vested interest in seeing poverty grow and the number of people on food stamps increase.

Immigration bill grants amnesty to employers of illegals; no prosecution for bogus IDs

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Written by washingtontimes.com Tuesday, 30 April 2013 05:04

The debate is raging over whether the latest immigration bill is an amnesty for illegal immigrants, but one part is clear: The legislation would forgive businesses that have employed those immigrants illegally.

Employers who have allowed illegal immigrants to work off the books can come forward safely and provide their work history without fear of prosecution, and businesses that knowingly employed someone using a bogus or stolen Social Security number likewise would get a pass, according to an analysis of the bill by the Center for Immigration Studies, a think tank that wants a crackdown on immigration.

Marco Rubio: Corrupted by Washington in Only Two Years

It’s hard to believe that Marco Rubio has only been in the Senate since January 2011. With the way he has been going on lately, telling conservatives what a bunch of unenlightened rubes we are for objecting to his immigration reform, you would think he’d been a Senator for 20 years.

The once Tea Party favorite, whose chances of being elected President are now on par with Mark Sanford, has been at the forefront of jamming the Democrat’s dream of opening the immigration floodgates through Congress, an effort that shares many the hallmarks of the passage of Obamacare:

TUSD plans new class to replace MAS

Written by azstarnet.com Tuesday, 30 April 2013 04:16

Freshmen at three TUSD high schools may be required to take a "culturally relevant" course in the fall as part of the district's effort to retain students.

The course, designed to replace the dismantled Mexican American Studies program, is called "Ninth Grade Culture, Identity and Transformation: A Culturally Relevant Viewpoint." It is supposed to be piloted at Rincon, Sahuaro and Santa Rita high schools in the coming school year and offered at all high schools in the 2015-2016 school year.

That came as a surprise to the TUSD Governing Board, which hasn't voted to make the class a requirement and hasn't approved the curriculum.

Ted Cruz: Principled Opposition To Rubio Amnesty Bill

Senator Ted Cruz, the boat-rocking limited government constitutional conservative Senator from Texas, provided another one of his patented cross examinations of a smoke-blowing government official at a recent Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

Sen. Ted CruzCruz, the son of legal immigrants from Cuba, asked Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano about border security measures – the so-called “triggers” – contained in the “Gang of Eight's” immigration bill.

Specifically, Senator Cruz asked, “If there are no objective metrics, if it is simply the subjective assessment of a host of factors, how can we have any confidence that the border will be secured and that any trigger will be meaningful?”
